That's true, but second hand boats usually require more Maintenance and nothing is more precious than seeing your boat in the water after you prepared it before spring. When buying a second hand boat you can get a great deal because second hand boats can cost as low as one tenth of new boats. And used boat can serve you well for years if you take care of it properly. Which boat to choose Of course there are classics made completely out of wood, mono-hulls, multihulls, racers and cruisers. I wouldn't recommend classics, unless you are felling nostalgic since you will have to dig deep in your pockets. But any of the other options is good if you know what you want out of your boat.
